Artistic Statement
Megan believes in the ability of sound to enhance a story. Sound is invaluable as both a background element and as a character in and of itself. When designing a production, Megan loves to be part of the rehearsal process as much as possible because of the collaborative nature of creating a design in the room. First and foremost, Megan is a collaborator and believes in open communication between every department. Whether a show is about dinosaurs or drone pilots, Megan strives to research and understand the characters and themes because these subtle pieces of knowledge can inform the direction of a design. Megan creates as many unique sounds as possible for every production she designs and enjoys composing original music on multiple instruments whenever she can. Megan ventures to make every single design original with a "Deets" flare.
